On-Chip Generation of Ultrafast Current Pulses by Nanolayered Spintronic Terahertz Emitters

We generate ultrafast current pulses by optical means with the aid of inverse spin Hall effect. In ferromagnet/normal metal bilayer structures, intense are generated pumping femtosecond laser pulses. Subsequently, converted into a charge pulse via effect and launched waveguide structures. The electrical signals detected using sampling oscilloscope. propose to use these nanolayered emitters act as on-chip THz sources robust photodetectors, which can be combined metallic doing so, control fields becomes possible on nanometer scale.
